Asian Games - Zhou Jiawei

He won gold in Men's 50m and 100m butterfly at the 16th Asian Games.

A native of Guangzhou, he came into the limelight in Chinese swimming after winning the men's 100m butterfly at the 2001 national games when he was 18. He went on to win two more consecutive gold in the national games. In 2008, he almost went into retirement after failing to be selected to the Beijing Olympics team but with the encouragement from his father and family, he continued to train intensively for this year Asian Games knowing very well that he might be too old to compete in the 2012 Olympics and he wanted to win the gold in Guangzhou, the place he was born.

Won the Men's 100 Sprint gold medal on November 22, 2010. He is the first chinese runner to win in this event in the history of Asian Games.








Asian Games - Jia Rui

Name : Jia Rui

Height : 170cm

Gold medalist in wushu - daoshu / gunshu event. His gold medal victory on November 14, 2010 was the first ever achieved by an athlete from Macao in the history of Asian Games.







Asian Games - Dong Dong

Name : Dong Dong
Country : China
Date Of Birth : March 22, 1988
Height : 168cm

He was born in Zhengzhou in Henan province. He started gymnastic training at 5 but migrated to trampoline training in 2002 at 13. Due to his gymnastics background he showed tremendous improvement in trampoline. Within a short period, in 2004, he won the national championship and joined the national team in early 2005. He competed in his first international competition a year later. In 2007 he won the runnerup title at the World Championship in Canada. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, he won a bronze medal. Earlier this week he took the gold in the same event at the 16th Asian Games.

Asian Games - Sun Yang

Name : Sun Yang
Country : China
Date Of Birth : September 1, 1991
Height : 198cm

Won 2 gold medals and a silver at the Guangzhou Asian Games. He took gold in Men's 4x200 freestyle relay, 1500m freestyle and a silver in 400m freestyle. He also won a bronze in the 1500m freestyle at the 2009 World Championship in Rome, Italy.

He was scouted to join training by swimming coaches when he was still in pre-school because he was much taller than all the other boys in his school. His height continues to grow rapidly during his training period. There was one year he grew a full 4cm from 192cm to 196cm. He gaine recognition in 2006 after he beat the more prominent swimmer Zhang Lin to win the 1500m freestyle in a national competition. Since then he improved tremendously, slashing almost a minute from his best time in the 1500m freestyle within one year.
