He was the runnersup in the 3rd edition of Indonesian Idol in 2006. At the early stages of the competition he was criticized by the judges for his poor performance and many felt that his progress in the competition was due to his looks. However he began to capture the attention of the judges and the fans from week 7 after showing much improvement in his performance. During the final, his mesmerized the audience again with his singing skill and was deemed as the favorite to take it all. However at the end of the contest, he was only placed as the runnersup. After the competition he has ventured not into singing but acting as well and has appeared is a few movies and a number of TV dramas.
